Message from Beatrice Fihn (Executive Director of ICAN)
On the 75th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, we want to start by congratulating that Hiroshima Prefecture for the enormously important holy place educating the world about what happened in Hiroshima. And we particularly pleased to collaborate on the Hiroshima-ICAN Academy making sure that a new generation young people who learn from the experiences of Hiroshima. I can take that forward to fight for nuclear disarmament. We are really hoping and expecting Hiroshima to continue to play this crucial role in the future, in particularly to show a new generation, the impact of nuclear weapons, the stories of the survivors and what nuclear weapons really are. So, we are excited to collaborate with Hiroshima prefecture for the coming years to eliminate nuclear weapons.
