Hiroshima for Global Peace

Terms (Effective Date: April 1, 2021)

We review and update the terms in the below (Changes are underlined). Our new terms are effective on April 1, 2021.

 

 

All members (hereinafter referred to as “users”) who use the “Hiroshima for Global Peace Official Site” (hereinafter referred to as “our website”) managed by Hiroshima Organization for Global Peace ( hereinafter referred to as “HOPe”) shall be deemed to have agreed to the following terms of use.

Article 1 (Copyright)

1.Copyrights on files (e.g. documents and images) and their contents on our website are, in principle, belong to HOPe and are protected by laws. For some of the images etc., the original authors own its copyrights. The names of companies and products shown on our website are generally trademarks and registered trademarks of the relevant companies. The image, data and programs used on our website cannot be copied on other websites, magazines or any advertisements, except special circumstances determined by HOPe. Only in case with permission by HOPe, images and sentences on our website can be copied or quoted.

2.Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraphs, if the contents on our website have been used without permission, reproduced, reprinted, sold, modified or distributed, HOPe will take certain actions (warning, complaints, claims for damages, injunction request, claims for restoration of honor, etc.) based on the Copyright Act for those who violate the law.

Article 2 (Prohibited matters)

The following acts shall be prohibited in the use of our website.

(2)To act against public order and morals or violates laws and regulations

(3)To act that deviates from common sense and socially-accepted norms

(4)To act that infringes any legal rights of other users and third parties, such as property rights (including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and any other intellectual property rights) or the rights regarding privacy

(5)To act that slanders other users and third parties

(6)Any acts that may interfere the operation of this service or the management of the promotion office

(6)Any other acts that HOPe deems inappropriate

Article 3 (Removal of information)

HOPe, the operator of this website, shall not be responsible for any damages (directly or indirectly) caused by or in connection with usage of our website, contents related to our website, or any service at linked place with our website.

Article 4 (Exemption)

HOPe shall be able to remove information at any time without notifying users when HOPe deems necessary as the information meets the acts prescribed in Article 2.

Article 5 (Service Disruption or Suspension)

HOPe shall be able to suspend or disrupt management of the services without notifying users if any of the following applies. For loss or damage of user or third party caused directly or indirectly by the disruption or suspension of the services, the prefecture shall not bear any responsibility regardless of the reasons or aspects.

(1)In the event of system maintenance, inspection or repair of the website to maintain good condition of the services.

(2)When the services cannot be provided due to fire or blackout

(3)When the services cannot be provided due to natural disaster

(4)When the prefecture deems it necessary for management or technical reasons of the services.

Article 6 (Activities of users)

1.When users send and receive information through our website, the users themselves shall be responsible for its contents.

2.HOPeprovides the services to users through the Internet. All devices, communication means, software, etc. for connecting to the Internet must be properly installed and operated by users at their own responsibility and expense. HOPe shall not be responsible for any of them.

3.Users shall agree that communication expenses etc. will be separately required to use or view this service depending on the users’ Internet connection environment etc., also the users shall bear all such communication expenses etc.

4.Users shall accept in advance that the users may not be able to view or use part of this service depending on the users’ Internet connection environment.

Article 7 (Revision of terms of use)

HOPe shall be able to revise the terms of use as needed at the convenience of HOPe without prior notice to users, and the users shall confirm the contents of the terms of use each time when using. When the users use this service after the revision, it shall be considered that the users have agreed to the revision.
In addition, for damages given to the users and the third parties caused directly or indirectly resulting from having not confirmed this page, HOPe shall not bear any responsibility regardless of the reasons or aspects.
