Hiroshima for Global Peace

“Hiroshima-ICAN Academy 2022 on Nuclear Weapons and Global Security” Hiroshima session is now being held!

Hiroshima Prefecture and the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (“ICAN”), the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize laureate, are pleased to announce to hold “Hiroshima-ICAN Academy on Nuclear Weapons and Global Security” which aims to develop leaders who can make a concrete contribution to the world through training on nuclear weapons and security and who can be active globally. The “Hiroshima Session,” which is held in person program in Hiroshima, was begun on Wednesday, November 9.

This year, 29 young people from 20 countries have been selected to participate in the program to learn about nuclear weapons and global security. After learning through a webinar held on Tuesday, October 25, 24 participants from 15 countries will stay in Hiroshima from Wednesday, November 9 to Saturday, November 12. The program will include various lectures, exchanges with A-bomb survivors, and field works.
