Along with the other U.S. allies, South Korea advocates the “progressive approach” toward a world without nuclear weapons, through incremental practical measures. It has not signed the TPNW. South Korea has engaged in promoting the CTBT’s entry into force, and developing its verification systems. It participates in the IPNDV.

South Korea has ratified all nuclear security-related conventions and has introduced recommended measures of INFCIRC/225/Rev.5 including efforts to computer security.
