The lecture by the ambassadors has been started from Day 6 (August 5). The ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Japan told us, “Kazakhstan has been positively engaged in opposition movements against nuclear weapons and its tests because of their tragic experience at Semipalatinsk nuclear test site. The experience later led to the establishment of Central Asian Nuclear Weapons Free Zone”.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Japan) mentioned, Japan as the only country to have ever suffered atomic bombings during war, it aims at making substantive progress in nuclear disarmament through gaining cooperation between nuclear weapon states and non-nuclear weapon states and taking into account the security environment.
