On February 20, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Ali THABIT, Vice Minister of Public Works and Highways of Republic of Yemen and 7 delegates paid a visit to the Hiroshima Prefectural Government.

They were invited by JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency).

His Excellency Mr. THABIT told us, “Yemen had huge damage caused by natural disasters. I am honor to visit Hiroshima and would like to learn the reconstruction of Hiroshima. “

His Excellency asked us how Hiroshima overcame the impact of radioactivity and what the impact was on citizens’ health.
