The Philippines voted for most of the UNGA Resolutions regarding nuclear disarmament. It has already signed the TPNW. It participates in the IPNDV. It expressed the sense of urgency regarding standstill and deterioration of nuclear disarmament on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the entry into force of the NPT.

The Philippines is a state party to the Southeast Asia Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone Treaty. It has implemented the IAEA Additional Protocol, and has applied integrated safeguards. The Philippines introduced list control and catch-all control in its export control system.

In 2020, the Philippines announced that it resumed national process to ratify CPPNM/A. It implemented a national workshop on the Nuclear Terrorism Convention, which they have not ratified yet. The Philippines updated INSSP in 2019 and has been continuing to enhance nuclear security. It is working on the establishment of a Nuclear Security Support Center.
