The Hiroshima Report 2022:Recommendation
The Hiroshima Report is a valuable indicator of the existential threat of nuclear weapons. Regrettably progress toward nuclear disarmament remains dangerously sluggish. While a majority of states favour prohibition and urgent elimination of nuclear weapons, others want to maintain the current precarious and unsustainable security system. The ban of nuclear weapons should soon become, like genocide, a peremptory norm of international law if we are to avoid self destruction.

Former Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)
The Hiroshima Report 2022 is a sobering overview of the state of nuclear security and the unacceptably high risk of use of nuclear weapons. More than 75 years after the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, we face a dangerously unstable security environment, where miscalculation or blunder could all too easily lead to nuclear conflict. The report makes clear the urgency of redoubling efforts to ensure that nuclear weapons are never used again.
