Like other NATO countries, Poland maintains a cautious stance on legally banning nuclear weapons. It has not signed the TPNW. Along with the other U.S. allies, it advocates the “progressive approach” toward a world without nuclear weapons, through incremental practical measures. It has increased reliance on extended (nuclear) deterrence. Poland participates in the IPNDV. |
