I wish to extend our warmest congratulations to all the young participants of the Hiroshima Junior International Forum for your great work and enthusiasm, with an aim to reinvigorate the collective effort to abolish nuclear weapons and support nuclear non-proliferation. Your encouraging contribution to world peace and a better future has been vividly demonstrated through “The Hiroshima Declaration”, a message for peace.

As an active member of the international community and a peace-loving nation, Vietnam fully supports nuclear disarmament, nuclear non-proliferation and the abolishment of all weapons of mass destruction and is determined to support and commit ourselves to realizing this goal.

It is my belief that small steps, taken in the right direction, may lead to positive and concrete results. With that, I appreciate the commitment from Hiroshima Prefecture to continue cultivating the next generation of leaders with the aim of achieving world peace and share the view with H.E. Hidehiko Yuzaki, Governor of Hiroshima Prefecture, that the youths are the leaders of the future who will strive for a peaceful global society free from nuclear weapons. Through my message, I wish to encourage the young generations to continue working hard, actively participating in various platforms and initiatives like this Forum to lend a voice in preventing the spread of nuclear weapons, reaching the goal of its total elimination, aiming towards a better world for all.
