This is who we are!
Our company was founded in 2009 in Kitahiroshima-cho, Hiroshima Prefecture, and manufactures and supplies parts of mechanical seals for automobiles under the umbrella of Eagle Industry Co., Ltd. Focusing on one of the Group’s management philosophies, “Management that respects human dignity,” we support the revitalization of the local economy by engaging in manufacturing that is friendly to people, communities, the earth, and the environment, and actively hiring local human resources and placing orders with local companies.
Initiative details
Mechanical seals are a type of packing installed on the power transmitting shaft of a rotating machine, such as a pump or compressor. The role of the seals is to prevent water, oil, or other fluids used by a machine from leaking to the external environment (into the atmosphere or water). They are used in a variety of applications, from automobiles, ships, rockets, and industrial plant equipment to residential equipment. The presence of seals contributes to the prevention of environmental contamination, energy saving through improved machine operating efficiency, and machine safety.
Under our management philosophy of “Deep pursuit: Pursue technology deeply; Continuation: Continue such technology; and Happiness: Make our employees happy through such technology,” we deliver high-quality products and services that meet customer satisfaction and the needs of the times, from Kitahiroshima-cho to the world. For assuring quality, we have acquired ISO 9001 certification (*1), built and continuously improved our quality control system, implemented “Eternal Zero” activities to prevent even a single defective product from being released to the market to ensure the quality of our products and services, and continuously raised awareness to ensure thorough compliance with laws and regulations.
Under one of the Group’s management philosophies, “Management that respects human dignity,” we ensure occupational health and safety and create a workplace that gives employees a sense of reward and job satisfaction, with the aim of becoming a company where they can feel happy. Major initiatives include: respecting human rights, clearly stating and continuously raising awareness of the prohibition of harassment, creating a roadmap for human resource development and providing appropriate guidance and training based on the roadmap, practicing health and productivity management, and reforming work styles.
These initiatives involve repetitive improvement processes to make the company better, and drive the expansion of the sustainability and the transformation of the company. We regard them as important initiatives because corporate sustainability also leads to job creation and regional development.
We also consider the global environment in conducting our business. We appropriately assess the environmental impact of our business activities, products and services, and implement initiatives to solve environmental problems through our core business in a proactive and voluntary manner. Specifically, we have been working to acquire ISO 14001 (*2) certification, build an environmental management system, respond appropriately to environmental laws and regulations, continuously raise awareness of employees, utilize solar power generation, and keep track of and reduce energy and water usage.
Advanced sealing technology, which is unique to our company, contributes to the control of environmental contamination since it prevents the leakage of the fluid inside with increased tightness, and at the same time, it also contributes to energy saving since it improves the machine operating efficiency.
In addition to manufacturing products, we have been implementing the initiatives that will help revitalize the local economy and social contribution activities as a “good corporate citizen” to contribute to the sustainable development of our local community, Kitahiroshima-cho. We aim to create a sustainable community by actively hiring local human resources and placing orders with local companies, supporting local sports clubs, dispatching volunteers to Japanese conversation classes for foreigners living in the local area, and holding summer festivals in the community.
We will continue to pursue manufacturing that will continue into the future and contribute to the realization of a sustainable local community.
Key Points
The Group’s management policy, which is planned every year, is conscious of the SDGs. Specifically, it includes the “Eternal Zero” activities as described above, as well as environmentally friendly process design, ESG management to promote community-based contribution activities, “TCD/KAIZEN activities” to reduce waste in the manufacturing process, “Digitalization/Muda-han activity” to improve indirect operations using IT, and “Respect for human dignity/Human resource development” to provide training for employees. In order to realize these goals, our company’s relevant departments plan specific measures, which are put into action with the company’s approval. Every month, the Management Meeting follows up with the actual results to confirm whether the plans are being executed without fail.
