Initiative details

In a world of increasingly diverse values, the demands made on space have become more specific and sophisticated. The essential properties of blinds and other window products, such as fine light control functions and interior design, need to be of higher quality, and consideration is also required for the global environment, energy conservation, healthy living, and an aging society.
As a group company of Nichibei Co. Ltd., a major Japanese manufacturer that develops, manufactures, and sells window interior products such as blinds and roll screens, we produce and ship custom-made window products ordered mainly from the Chugoku, Shikoku, and Kyushu areas. From about 60 years ago in 1961, our factory was located in Hiroshima City, before being rebuilt in Seifu Shinto six years ago in 2015.
The products we produce have been developed in line with the basic concepts of environment, health, an aging society, energy conservation, and safety. We have long been committed to the elimination of harmful substances and have recently been developing products with antibacterial and antiviral functions, delivering products that are well-designed, easy to use, highly functional, and have excellent energy-saving capabilities to public facilities used by many people, medical facilities, general housing, stores, offices, and other places where antiviral functions are required. In addition, the fabrics used in our products are environmentally friendly, healthy, and energy efficient.
With these efforts, we aim to create human spaces that are comfortable for everyone, thereby contributing to a sustainable society.

Development and promotion of fabrics that are environmentally friendly, healthy, and energy efficient

We also play a role in creating a recycling-oriented society by working to reduce material waste when producing made-to-order products and by sorting unavoidable waste for recycling and having it collected by recycling companies.
In addition to these efforts, we are also striving to improve employee satisfaction by creating a comfortable work environment. We will work to enter a virtuous cycle, making improvements to increase productivity and improve customer satisfaction (higher quality, shorter delivery times, lower costs).

Making effective use of scrap aluminum

In cooperation with Nichibei Co. Ltd.’s Production Department, we sell collected plastic bottle caps to resin manufacturers and use the profits from the sale to provide vaccinations to children in developing countries (600 caps are equivalent to one polio vaccine worth 20 yen). In this way, we are trying to raise awareness among our employees by suggesting things they can do, even if small, and having them put it into practice.

Participation in the Ecocap Movement

Key Points

In order to deliver safe and reliable products to our customers and to continue to manufacture products that are friendly to the earth and the environment, we will maintain a workplace environment that is easy for our employees to work in, make effective use of limited resources, and work together with neighboring communities to achieve a sustainable world.
