To Encourage More Companies to Work on the SDGs

Supporting management toward the future

There are many companies in Hiroshima that are not working on, or even do not know much about, the SDGs. Taking advantage of having many clients from various business fields, this tax attorney office aims to make the SDGs widely known and promote initiatives for the achievement of the SDGs. Specifically, the office encourages its clients under advisory contracts (approximately 150 companies) to set SDG-related goals by the end of 2020, and it supports such companies to achieve the goals through progress management from the perspective of accounting. When newly making advisory contracts with companies, the office makes it a rule to have them select global goals and targets related to the SDGs to focus on, and it works together with the companies to achieve them. Through these initiatives, the office encourages many Hiroshima-based companies to learn about the SDGs and to actively make efforts to achieve them, thereby contributing to the achievement of the SDGs and supporting sustainable companies.

SDG-oriented features

Regarding the SDGs, the levels of awareness and implementation in Hiroshima Prefecture are not sufficient. The attraction of this initiative is that it promotes and supports the achievement of the SDGs by many local private companies across business fields. It is expected that this initiative will set the flow for many companies to learn and think about the SDGs and implement measures to achieve them.
