(2022 Hiroshima Prefecture SDGs Business Community Project)

With the aim of promoting SDG-related business efforts in the prefecture, the Hiroshima Organization for Global Peace (HOPe) and Hiroshima Prefecture have been implementing the “Hiroshima Prefecture SDGs Business Community” project to introduce examples of initiatives of companies and organizations in Hiroshima Prefecture towards the achievement of the SDGs.
This project, which started in FY2021, is participated by ten companies and organizations this year, and it presents information on their initiatives from two perspectives: (1) articles by the companies, etc. themselves on their initiatives; and (2) articles written by university student reporters who have visited and interviewed the companies, etc.

This project is implemented based on a collection of examples introducing the SDGs initiatives of local companies and organizations that have been produced with the cooperation of university students in the prefecture over the past three years since 2018. (Past collections of examples are available from the following.)
We hope that this project will help many people in and outside Hiroshima Prefecture develop interests and concerns in connection with the SDGs and take actions towards achieving them.
